The one who wants to steal your soul wants you to think about everything (except one thing). I want to talk to you about your soul, which is the eternal part of you. You are made up of body, soul and spirit. We all know that our bodies are ageing and heading towards death. The spirit is the part that unites body and soul, it is the breath of life that God breathed into man’s nostrils when he created him. Thus, man became a living soul. When he dies, that breath of life goes back to God. But the soul is eternal, it does not die, it remains, even without a body.

How does evil work to steal people’s souls? Making them think of everything but salvation. We live in a society where we don’t have a second to rest our minds and not a moment just to not think about something. The whole society is organised in such a way that your mind is engaged from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep (and usually one cannot sleep because the mind is racing). The truth is that the human mind is not prepared for the pace of information and the amount of information it has absorbed in recent years through various sources. The mobile phone is practically an extension of the body.

And all of this is intentional so that people don’t think about the soul they have (the most precious thing they have). When you understand this, you understand the reason for your anxiety and insomnia. Maybe, in the old days, you liked to read and now you don’t have the patience to read anymore. Then, you prefer to watch a series on TV and check social media several times a day. That is, it is a false feeling that you are in control of your life. You are being controlled. You realise the strategy is to get people addicted. And addiction is the best example of the end of reasoning. The person is not thinking, they just seek to feel. This is the society we are living in and it is getting worse.

Does the appearance of your countenance testify against you? A downcast countenance, a blurred look? Do you only focus on something futile, materialistic and momentary, so you haven’t been thinking about important things like your soul?
