The Word of God says:

Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light. Ephesians 5:14

An enlightened person is a wise, intelligent person with an open mind who sees things better than most.

Most young people want to be different. They don’t want to follow anyone’s lead, but they follow everyone’s. This is because, at this age, the mind is not yet formed, so they are not as clarified as they think.

But if you, youth, turn your head to God, you will be above average. An above-average mind doesn’t think like that: “I want to make my mistakes”, as many young people say to their parents. “You, Dad, made mistakes, you also, Mom. I also want to make my own mistakes; I have the right.” You have the right, but that’s not prudent; that’s not being an enlightened person. Being intelligent is to conclude that if it didn’t work for your parents, it won’t work for you either. And if you ask yourself: “How can I do it differently?”. That’s being intelligent.

He concludes by saying:

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, Redeeming the time because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15,16

Redeeming the time means making excellent use of it instead of throwing it away. The time you have of youth will pass very quickly, and it is the best time of your life because this is the time that you can learn what is right with a fresh mind. But if you learn what is wrong, you are delaying the best time of your life.

Ask a 30- or 40-year-old man or woman who wasted their youth – you must have people like that in your family who wasted their best years and didn’t redeem time. See how their life is now, trying to run after the loss. He is an adult without an adult life because he wasted time in his youth.

The days are bad and will get worse; it’s not because I’m rooting against it; it’s because it’s prophesied in the Word of God: “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:12

Violence, aggressiveness, young people planning to kill others for no reason, love is growing cold, and iniquity is multiplying. That’s why the world will get worse; love is growing cold.

But the Bible says that the love of many will grow cold; it won’t be everyone’s.

And you? Will you be among the many whose love will grow cold or the few who choose to be and do differently.
