The Smart Woman
The Bible say’s that an intelligent woman makes her family happy. Or if you prefer, the traditional version, the wise woman builds up her household. It’s a big declaration. What a responsibility. What power.
Why not man?
A man may understand everything about building a house out of bricks and cement. He deals well with physical things—the wood goes here, the plumbing comes in there, the roof has to be of this material… He knows how to organize these things, and use his intelligence to build things. The scheme of things come out exactly. But to make a family happy is far from a science or scheme, much less does it have an exact formula. And even a wise man, normally, loses badly to a wise woman in this sense.
She is the architect of family relationships. While their baby is still in her stomach, she’s already thinking about who he’ll marry one day, how beautiful the bride will be, and how her grandchildren will be even cuter. In her female mind, she already has everything planned out. All the while, her husband is just thinking about how big her stomach got.
A woman has the power to be the center of attention at home. She is the focal point of the family. The decisions, choices, and all the happenings go through her—and when they don’t, it’s almost inevitable that something will go wrong. When Cristiane is not at home, I feel like a man without a leg.
This is the power of a woman.
That’s why she has to be wise. With so much power, if she doesn’t use it intelligently, she ends up destroying her home. If she speaks too much, is insecure, jealous, selfish, materialistic, disrespectful, inconvenient, lazy, a control freak, hot-tempered, prone to arguments, proud, defiant, temperamental… tick-tock, tick-tock, 4, 3, 2, 1… run!
Woman, power is nothing without control and wisdom. So:
1. Recognize the power you have
2. Seek wisdom
3. Be a good influence at home
But what about my husband? You have the power to make your family happy. That’s what the Bible say’s not me.
P.S. Before anyone writes saying, ” But men have to do their part too…” — Let me explain: I wasn’t saying that men don’t have their role to play, of course they do. But, what we’re focusing on here is that women have an ability, greater than a man’s, in regards to the happiness of her family.
