The great paradox of life is this: human beings fight for their desires and dreams, and when they finally achieve them, they discover that what they so desperately wanted ends up harming them.

This happens because our will has become contrary to ourselves. Genesis 4:7.

Ever since Adam and Eve sinned, humans have been contaminated by sin.

Therefore, the most intelligent decision anyone can make is to abandon their own will and choose God’s will.

This was Jesus’ greatest teaching in Gethsemane. So that you might have life, He paid a high price, was separated from the Father, sweated blood, and triumphed.

Now, only one decision remains: to surrender your will as well.
