Once, all the animals in a jungle got together and decided to have a competition. Whoever reached the top of the highest mountain would be the king of the jungle.The lion got ready and climbed the mountain, but it was discouraged by the words of the other animals. The giraffe tried but found it wasn’t as easy as it thought. Finally, a little frog appeared.

And when he started to climb the mountain, all the animals laughed and said, “You’ll never make it. You are a little frog. If the lion and the giraffe didn’t make it, how are you going to?”

But the frog kept climbing until it reached the top of the mountain. When he went down to be awarded, the animals asked: “How did you do it?” And the little frog said: “How is it? Speak louder, I can’t hear, I’m deaf…!”

The little frog was able to climb because it didn’t listen to anybody’s criticism and words. This little story shows us a very deep truth, very important for you who want to win in life: words have power.

“Those also who seek my life lay snares for me; Those who seek my hurt speak of destruction, and plan deception all the day long. But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.” Psalms 38:12,13
