In other words, desires pass, our will passes, fame passes. Even if someone reaches the peak, time doesn’t stop.

In this way, everything that is sustained only by the world ends up in the world itself.

Death that really matters

It is true that, humanly speaking, no one can circumvent physical death. Still, Jesus revealed something greater: there is a life that continues beyond the body.

Therefore, the Bible calls the eternal separation from God true death. This one, yes, should worry anyone. However, those who believe in the Lord find escape, life and permanence.

Staying requires a choice

The Word states: “But he who does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:17)

Thus, when we read about the men and women of faith, we do not speak of people who have disappeared in time. We talk about lives that remain through the Word.

Meanwhile, those who follow only their own will become weakened. The feeling presses, the emotion drives and, often, the person falls believing that he is doing the best for himself.

Everything passes, except those who obey

The pain, the struggle, the success pass. The world passes.

However, those who do God’s will do not pass.

Therefore, the choice is ours. Submitting one’s own will to God’s will is not a loss – it is the only way to remain, here and in eternity.
