Everyone wants to progress in life. You certainly want to move forward; you don’t want to stay stuck in time. So, I will give you a tip for a life that progresses and grows. One of the secrets of continuous progress is that you do what you don’t like.

A big lie has become popular worldwide, saying people must look for what they like. “Do you want to succeed? Do what you love.” This is not the whole truth. When you meet a successful person, who does what they love, you can be sure that they can only do what they like today because they chose to do what they didn’t like back then. And, to this day, they have to do many things they don’t like. If you only do what you like, you will end up with a life you don’t like.

For example, I don’t like to do physical exercises. But the truth is that I need to move my body. When I have to do it, I do it (even without liking it) because I know that later I will have what I like, which is more energy and health.

So many things in life are like that. You need to learn to like what you don’t like or at least do it without complaining.

The Word of God is full of examples: “Judge not, and you shall not be judged (…)” (Luke 6:37) or “Give, and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38).

Maybe you don’t like your marriage, job, or body; you live a life you hate because you only seek to do what you feel like doing. But when you learn to put what you don’t like in front and do what is right, you will have the right to the life you like. Put this into practice. Don’t keep looking for shortcuts, thinking that it is possible to cut paths. There is no success without sacrifice.

The law of sowing and reaping does not fail. It is worth memorising: “Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.”
Psalms 126:5-6 ” (Psalm 126:5,6).
