NO PROBLEM IS ORPHAN
The problem isn't in the circumstances but in the roots. It's deeper than what we show or think.
How can we justify the fact that in the midst of several green trees, there is only one dry tree? After all, the weather and the soil are the same for everyone. Therefore, we conclude that the problem is not outside, but in the roots of this tree. This is what happens to us: people in similar circumstances have different results because the internal roots change the fruits.
Stop blaming the outside
Unfortunately, culture encourages victimisation: “if circumstances change, I change.” It’s not true. The world won’t adjust to you. Therefore, to thrive, look within yourself, not outside.
Childhood traumas exist, but throughout life, you have also made choices. As long as you blame only the past, you overlook the decisions, beliefs, and habits that fuel current problems. Sincerity is the shovel that digs to the root.
A fruit is known by its roots
“For a tree is known by its fruit.” (Matthew 12:33)
Do you want to know what’s in you? Then, look at the visible fruits of your life. Good fruits indicate health; bad fruits reveal something wrong in the roots: pride, inferiority, insecurity, addictions, bad temperament, or negativity.
Quick checklist
• What good fruits should you keep?
• What bad fruits do you need to face?
• What belief or decision supports each bad fruit?
Even with a good upbringing, no one is perfect. Bad roots can manifest as thoughts of incapability (“it’s too much for me”). These thoughts stop you before you try.
How to start the treatment at the root
• Identify the bad fruit (lie, addiction, explosiveness, negativity).
• Follow the branch: what behaviour produces it?
• Dig to the root with sincerity—what belief or decision originated this?
• Seek God: ask for light to understand and strength to change.
• Replace the root: repent, change beliefs, and adopt new practices (truth, discipline, self-control, faith).
No problem is orphan: every fruit has a root. Instead of waiting for the world to change, address the cause within yourself. With sincerity and faith, God reveals the root and the solution—and the fruits change.
