Maybe that person is not thinking evil of you.

Maybe your friend didn’t greet you in the hallway because her mind was really elsewhere.

Maybe your wife/husband is right, after all.

Maybe her outfit is tight because she gained some weight, not because she’s a slut or because she wants attention.

Maybe he didn’t do that on purpose.

Maybe what you heard about that person is because whoever said it wants to hurt her.

Maybe that compelling story that destroys someone’s character is just a well-told lie  — or not the whole story. 

Maybe it’s not what you think.

Maybe that criticism you received was because the critic feels inferior to you, not because your performance was bad.

Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. Luke 11:34

Believe the best until you see evidence to the contrary. And watch out for what people call “evidence.”

And yet, do not be blind.
