Challenge #48

Challenge: Get revenge on the evil that made you suffer by doing what’s good.

Explanation: Few people know why I decided to take on the challenge of helping couples bullet-proof their marriages, or of helping singles experience successful love lives. When I was 13 all hell broke loose when my parents separated. My family was split up. My father cheated on my mother and eventually went to live with the other woman. Our finances turned chaotic because my mother, and the four of us kids, depended on him. This affected our studies too. Several times I just wanted to die. There were nights I cried myself to sleep.

But all those bad things happened for the greater good. That tragedy led me to God, and my life made a 180 degree turn. My family was restored and everyone turned to God. My parents got back together once again. Then when I got married, I had marriage problems. But the problems I’d gone through with my parents had given me the strength to fight and refuse to allow my parents’ story to repeat itself in my marriage. I overcame. I learned to bullet-proof one of my greatest assets with my faith.

But I didn’t stop there. I decided to make the devil pay for what he did to my parents and for everything he did to me. That’s when A Bullet-Proof Marriage emerged and The Love School. By now, thousands around the world have been helped through our book, TV program and course. The devil is paying a high price, and will continue to pay.

Even the IntelliMen Project is a act of vengeance, one that is still unfolding. When we got married, Cristiane and I decided not to have kids so we could devote ourselves one hundred percent to the work of God. But after seven years of marriage, we decided to save a lost child. Instead of bringing another child into the world, we decided to take one out of the world, and we decided to adopt Filipe. He was almost four when we found him in an orphanage, a child without a father, and abandoned by his mother. We loved him as our own, and gave him everything we had so that he could become a man of God. But this has not yet happened.

In his twenties, he still allows evil to influence his choices. He still does not have the spiritual DNA of his parents. So for now, the devil has ammunition against him. But I decided to turn this evil into something good. I told the devil: “You touched my son, so I’m going to steal countless children from your hands. Whatever you used against him, I’m going to use against you. I’m going to make you pay a high price!” That’s when IntelliMen came into being, a project which has helped thousands of both young and grown men around the world. This is my revenge, and I’m sure that God will not fail me.

God, Himself, is the greatest avenger:

Without a doubt you have suffered from evil. You or your family have paid a high price for the destruction that passed down from your parents. You may have gone through “hell” because of it, or might still be in the middle of it. The question is: Are you going to behave like a MAN, or are you going to sit down and cry? Are you going to beat up the devil, or just leave things as they are?

Your challenge is to identify some evil that you’ve suffered, and decide on how you can get revenge on that evil by doing good. Make the devil pay big time!

Notebook: Make a list of your greatest disappointments, losses, and pains. What hurt you the most? Which one bothered you the most? What do you want the devil to pay for in a big way? What good thing do you want your life to embody? What would you like to do for other people? Choose a mission, and the banner that you’re going to raise against the evil that attacked you in the past.

Deadline: You may begin working on this challenge immediately and complete it before Challenge #49, which you can begin a week from now.
