IF YOU HAD THE POWER TO SNAP YOUR FINGERS AND MAKE SOMEONE DISAPPEAR... would you use it?

What would you be willing to do for your faith? What would you suffer for the Lord Jesus?

Today, I want to address you who say you believe in Jesus and think that you live a life based on His Word. My question is: how much would you endure for Jesus?

This is a relevant question because when we look at the Christian faith, we see that Jesus endured everything until death. Looking at the outcome of His sacrifice, He endured the cross. The author of this faith you say you have was the first to endure everything. He endured injuries and humiliation, not taking advantage of the power He had as God. I ask you: how many times have you felt the urge to snap your fingers and make someone disappear? Jesus had this power, but He didn’t use it. He endured all the shame because of the joy offered to Him. When He calls us to endure, He is not asking for something impossible or even to do what He has done because no one can do things as He did. But this serves as an inspiration to endure the shame, the denying of our own will, the persecutions or some kind of suffering. Compared to what He went through, that’s nothing.

The big question is: what can you endure for your Christian faith? What I have seen, unfortunately, is that many of those who claim to confess their faith when they need to endure something apparently small because of it are the first to abandon it. Some people leave the church because of their boyfriend or girlfriend. Some people say: “I saw hypocrisy in the church”. And I tell you: Jesus too. It seems that today’s Christians read the Bible just to pick up catchphrases (and still take the biblical passages out of context). They like motivational verses but reject those about enduring everything to death. Think about this question because if you are not willing to endure everything by faith, I am sorry to say but your “faith” is just a mere illusion, religiosity.
