I FIND MYSELF LAUGHING WHEN I SEE THIS

It's funny when we see laws to control human beings; their minds are uncontrollable, their reactions are selfish, and their actions no one can predict.

You, for sure, have already been surprised by the human ability to deceive, to develop a way to get away with the laws of this world. In the news, we are constantly introduced to new scams. The other day, experts said: “We have not yet been able to find out the chemical composition of this new drug they created”. In other words, professionals who work for good have yet to discover how a drug was made to bypass airports and inspections. And every day, there is a new form of scam.

However, in human nature, there is a natural rebellion against what is right. You may like what is right and believe that the right things should be done, but there is a moment when you will do something wrong even though you know it is wrong. Do you know when this moment will be? When it’s to save your skin. “So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life” (Job 2:4).

Satan knows that the human being, deep down, is selfish. They won’t think about their neighbour; they will think about themselves. The survival instinct will speak louder. And if they have to do the wrong thing, they will do it to survive. So, we are not better than the ones we see in the news; the only difference is the degree of evil. Evil is within the human being.

Speaking of those who believe in God, how often have you or someone you know used a Bible verse to justify a behaviour they didn’t want to change? To remain in sin, the person takes a text out of context. Jesus clashed with the religious precisely because of this.

So, what’s the solution? “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). That is, the solution is to die to human nature and be born with the Divine nature. This Divine nature will enable us to do the right thing even if it harms us, like the Lord Jesus, who went to the cross, and He put the interest of God and all of us above His.

When we go to the cross, so to speak, we die to ourselves and are reborn to God. So, this is the only way we can become a real Christian. Christians will always be exemplary citizens because they do not do this for society but for God.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans 8:13). If you want to live your life your way, your end will be eternal death. But by the Holy Spirit, we die for ourselves.
