HOW TO CHANGE YOUR BOSS

Have you ever stopped to think that you are a company of 3? Yes! And one of them needs to be the leader; which is yours?

Who likes to work for a bad boss? A perverse, unfair boss? Who likes to have a ruler who only makes decisions contrary to everything you want for your life, your family and society? Who likes to be led by a bad leader? Nobody likes it. And even if we can’t do something right away (because it’s not so simple to change jobs, for example, who guarantees that the other boss will be better? Or changing the government leader; which happens every four years in Brazil and does not depend only on you), there is another boss you can change, which has a much greater impact on you: your spirit.

You are a company of 3: body, soul and spirit. And the boss of these 3 should be your spirit. When we talk about “spirit”, we talk about “mind”, “intelligence”, and “understanding”. So, it is assumed that in this company of 3 – one is physical (body), the other is emotion (soul) and the other is intelligence (spirit) – the boss is the spirit. Your spirit is the boss of the three of you. And if your spirit is bad, of course, this boss of yours will make bad decisions that will do wrong for your whole life.

So, because of an unsuitable spirit, which is mishandling the body, the person has diseases because they do not take good care of their health. There are diseases that the person has no choice about, but most are caused because they do not care for themselves. The person doesn’t exercise; they eat poorly. In other words, their spirit makes terrible choices.

How many people suffer in abusive, sick, toxic relationships and can’t leave because the soul asks? “I like it; I want to; I won’t be able to live without this person.” The soul calls for someone who mistreats them. Their spirit did not have the strength to say: “Enough! You will leave this relationship and no longer subject yourself to it.” So, they continued with the relationship because of their spirit, which was weak to get them out of that situation.

You realise that God has given us a boss for ourselves: the spirit. The Word says: “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls” (Proverbs 25:28). In other words, our spirit works as a limiter, a protector of our life. You decide: “I do. I don’t.” And if your spirit does not assume this role, the soul or body will take it.

Is your spirit absent? Is your mind given to the “trending videos” of the internet? To the entertainment of this world, to gossip and useless information? Smoking, drinking, sleeping? Watching sports? Is your spirit on vacation? So, that’s why your life is ungoverned by a terrible boss who doesn’t even show up for work.

To change your life, you must work on your spirit first. Suppose your spirit is not strong, disciplined, balanced, or aligned with the Spirit of God. In that case, you will be under a tyrant and exposed as a house without doors in a dangerous neighbourhood.

Think: what have you been doing to strengthen your spirit? Follow this message in full in the video above.
