GOD SCHEDULED AND YOU DIDN'T SHOW UP?

This is why your prayer may not be answered.

Have you ever made an appointment with someone and they didn’t show up? Has it ever happened that the person saw that you were at the door, but they pretended that they were not at home and did not open the door for you? It’s frustrating, isn’t it? It becomes an insult. The indifference is total. But what if I told you that not only can you be doing this every day, but you are also doing it with God Himself?

In the Bible, it says: “Why, when I came, was there no man? Why, when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Indeed with My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink, because there is no water, and die of thirst” (Isaiah 50:2).

Look at God’s complaint. Normally, we think that when we pray, He has to appear. But we don’t think that He also calls us. God also has requests for us. And maybe you’re not realising that when He calls, you don’t answer Him. God nudges you: “Don’t do that. This is not good for you. Go there and ask forgiveness for those who hurt you. If you go down that path, you’re going to get hurt down the road.” God makes an appointment with you and you don’t go. He calls you to pray and you don’t. He calls you to church and you don’t go. There is always a good excuse for not attending. But, just like you make an appointment with someone and that person doesn’t show up, just like the person sees your missed call and doesn’t return, and you get sad, God feels that way too.

When tragedy strikes, everyone says, “Why did God allow this?” But people don’t want to know about Him. Maybe, when someone went to your house to call you to go to church, you thought it was the Pastor calling you, but it was God. How many times have you found an excuse not to talk to God? Then you begin to understand why your prayers are not answered. God never left us abandoned. I ask you: if you don’t like being done to you, why would you do it to God? Reflect on the message in the video above.
