When we feel pain, we realize that it is a sign that something is not right in our bodies. Pain is a symptom, not the cause. But it does indicate that something needs to be done to fix the problem.

This also happens with God. He works with signs. When you have coldness in your marriage, it’s a sign that something is wrong. You don’t communicate well, you don’t touch each other and you don’t have intimacy for long periods. That’s a sign. And maybe you’re shrugging your shoulders, letting it go, and you don’t realize that this is a cancer that’s spreading and there will come a time when your marriage will die.

When you ignore the sign, you ignore the message. By ignoring the message, you put yourself at risk of causing serious problems for yourself and others. So don’t forget: God speaks through signs. He left the Bible.
