You who feel alone, without anyone’s help, pay attention. Maybe there is a lack of resources, people to trust or even real support. After all, loneliness does not choose social condition: it affects both those who have no money and those who do, but do not know whom to trust.

And it hurts. Because we weren’t created to live helplessly.

The expectation that paralyses

Many spend their lives waiting for help. A friend, a relative, a boss, an old promise. Some even wait for systems, governments or decisions that never come. And, while they wait, life stands still.

Therefore, the news may sound harsh, but it is liberating: no one is coming to help you.

The right dependence

That doesn’t mean giving up. On the contrary. It means to stop depending on people and start depending on those who never fail: God.

The Lord says in Isaiah 41:10:

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you”

This promise is for those who decide to make Him Lord of their own life – not only to hear about Him, but to obey Him.

Go straight to God

The worst thing is to depend on someone. The best decision is to go straight to the Lord. Instead of humiliating yourself before others, kneel before God and trust Him.

If anyone wants to help, accept. But don’t live waiting for that.

Get up

Don’t accept the victim’s speech. You have God; use your mouth to talk to Him, not to complain. Lean your life on the Word and move forward with faith, strength and decision.

God promised to be with you. Hold on to that promise – and go ahead.
