Forward-looking

Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Proverbs 4:25

One of the most enlightening lessons I’ve ever learnt about faith is that it’s forward-looking.

Faith always looks forward. It wastes no time with the past. The only use it has for the past is to remember God’s deeds and promises, to remind itself that they must also happen today.

Every time you’re looking back, crying about your past, lamenting, regretting, dwelling on your mistakes — you’re not using your faith.

Faith is forward-looking.

That’s the way to success.
