The most serious problem for human beings is not economic, the Government, the so-called “social injustices”, or wars. All the problems that we can name that affect human beings stem from a single main problem: the rejection of God, and the abandonment of Him.
Some say to Him, “Please don’t interfere in my life. When I need the Lord, I will call Him.” This is the big problem, it is the biggest and the main one, the mother of all other problems of the human being. And unfortunately, that’s exactly how many people live in this world.

That sounds harsh, doesn’t it? Well, imagine how God receives this attitude from human beings. If it sounds bad to our ears, imagine it in His heart. People do not realise that what they are facing in their lives, the “runs” of life that they have to do to try to survive (in this jungle of the employment market, for example), to put bread on the table, it makes them suffer because they reject the council, the Government, the Kingdom of God. The Lord Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things would be added (Matthew 6:33). So people should be interested in having a perfect (not human) King rule over them. There is no human ruler, in this world, in the entire history of mankind, who has been or will be perfect. Why? Because man has rejected the perfect Government, which is God’s.

Also, people usually focus on the second part of this verse: everything else will be added. They think, “How nice! God will give me everything I need.” But they forget that the second part of the verse is conditional on the first. The things you need will only be added if you first seek the Kingdom of God, and make Him the King of your life. That is, obey Him. And “obeying” is not just about the things we like. “Obeying” is also in the things we don’t like (because here is the greatest proof of our faith, our obedience). So that’s why people suffer.

If you want to change this suffering in your life, then you must make God your ruler. Stop being guided by other people’s mouths, by the ideologies of this world. You have to choose God’s voice as a guide and put it into practice. Make Him the only voice in your life. When you do, your destiny will change. It won’t change like magic (because you’ve been sowing bad seeds for a long time). But if you start sowing now, you will soon start to reap the good fruits from it.
