Nobody likes to go through problems, afflictions or suffering. But difficult situations can teach you an important lesson. See what the Word of God says:

“It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.” Psalms 119:71

The truth is, it’s not good to go through problems, but they teach us. For example, it was good that I had problems in my marriage. Cristiane and I learned a lot from it all. When you use afflictions to learn, you advance and improve in that area.

It was good because we learned. But when you go through afflictions and you don’t learn anything, you keep repeating the same experiences because you refuse to learn. When you don’t learn, life fails you and you suffer the consequences.
