Many say they want to find God but seek Him in all the wrong ways. We have been meditating on the cross, its message and what it means. If the cross becomes of no effect for us, it is as if the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus had not been valid. It’s as if we totally despised what He did. And that’s what many people do: make the cross of no effect to them.

So, what path has God chosen for people to know Him? They say that “all roads lead to God”. But that’s a big lie. Because it’s Satan who makes people think like this. This makes no sense from a spiritual or logical point of view. Think: how can I get to a specific place by taking any path? It’s a matter of intelligence.

Thus, the apostle Paul said: “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe” (1 Corinthians 1:21). In other words, he was saying that there are people who create their own conditions to know God as if He needed them. Human arrogance is so great that it seems God needed to know the human being. But we are the ones who need Him.

Therefore, we cannot reach God in our own way or wisdom. That’s not how you know God. And the apostle Paul continues by saying that the message of the cross is foolishness for this world. People hear the Word of the cross, shrug, do not understand, find it meaningless, do not delve into the subject and go on with their lives. Still, it is precisely through this message that it has pleased God to save those who believe in it.

So, we cannot reach God anyhow or anyway, but through the message of the cross. We must look at the Lord Jesus and follow this path to know God and achieve Salvation.

Therefore, the Lord Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for my sins and gave me the opportunity for Salvation. And because death had nothing against Him, it had to release Him, and He was resurrected on the third day. I believe in this. This was revealed to me, and I have been trying to live my life depending on this fact.
