A DIFFERENT WAY OF LIVING LIFE: TRY IT

There are two types of groups in the world, donors and recipients. Which of the two are you in?

We can identify two groups of people in the world: donors and recipients, those who give and those who take, those who want for themselves and those who distribute without expecting to be recognised.
The Word of God shows us that these two groups of people constantly interact in the world.
And you’re one of them.
You can see the effects of each of these groups in people’s lives.

So, some are takers (they are always looking for an opportunity to take something for themselves, to benefit). These people think that the world belongs to the smart ones and must think about them first; they centre their lives around them and always think: “How can I get something out of this person?”.

This ranges from scammers to those business people who think about taking from the customer or the supplier for them. They are always thinking about receiving. This group are bitter; it is not good for society or even for themselves. They are never satisfied. They are always bitter, saying the world doesn’t help them enough.

Some even complain about God. They say, “God didn’t give me what I wanted, so I’m not going to seek Him anymore.” I mean, they want God to receive, to serve themselves from Him.

How many people remove others from their social circles because they do not meet their expectations?
They say, “You didn’t help me when I needed it.” And they remove the person. “You, for me, died.”
They think everyone must serve them. I mean, someone is only good while serving. This is not a way to lead a life; you are always trying to take advantage, and you are a person who only hopes to benefit from others.

The Word of God says: “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty”
(Proverbs 11:24).
This verse speaks of these two groups of people. The least that the human being owes to himself, to family members, and society is not to be a burden to others.

The other group, which scatters, originates in the Spirit of God. For the Lord Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you (…)” (Luke 6:38).
He taught us that the best way to live is to be in the donor group. Why? Just try it. When you give something to someone, you are happier than the person who received it. But this goes against human nature, which thinks: “There will be less for me, and I have to take care of myself first.” However, believe that it will return to you just as you give. Maybe it won’t come back from whom you answered, but God will provide a way to balance your account.

So, what you need is to train yourself to be a donor. Worry about giving. And to give, you need to have a place to get it from. This is the secret: when God is your source, your source is unlimited. When you are in God, you give what you receive from Him; He gives you, and you give to others.

Follow the video above and think about it.
