3 REASONS WHY YOUR SOUL IS GOD'S AND THE DEVIL'S GREATEST PURPOSE AND SHOULD BE YOURS

Everything in this world—success, power, pleasure or money—has an expiry date. But there is something eternal: your soul.

We live in a world where everything seems to have a price. People work, run, compete and compare themselves, believing that winning in life is making more money. But that’s a great illusion. No fortune is enough to buy one more minute of life, because the rich also die, also get sick, suffer, get depressed and face the same problems as the poor. Money only amplifies the emptiness and fragility of the soul.

Money doesn’t pay the bill of the soul

Psalm 49 warns us that no one is rich enough to buy salvation. It is possible to buy a luxurious coffin, but it is never the salvation of the soul:

“None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him — For the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever — That he should continue to live eternally, and not see the Pit.” ( Psalms 49:7-9)

The Bible shows that money cannot prevent death. Everyone goes to the grave. Even the most powerful men in the world fear death and try to prolong life with technology and science, but this is impossible. Only Jesus Christ offers eternal life—and He has already paid the price with His own blood.

God’s greatest purpose: your soul

The soul is God’s greatest purpose – and also the devil’s greatest target. Unfortunately, most people ignore it, living as if it didn’t exist. However, the soul is the most valuable thing in every human being. Here are three reasons why it should be your priority.

1. The soul is eternal

The soul will never cease to exist. Everything that lasts a long time has a high price, and the soul is eternal – it doesn’t live 80 or 90 years, but forever. Even so, many invest everything in the body and nothing in eternity. They forget that the body returns to the dust, but the soul remains alive.

2. The soul has two destinations

The soul can only follow one of two paths: heaven with God or hell with the devil. And this destiny is the result of a personal choice. God wants to avoid eternal condemnation and sent His Son to save us, but those who reject God choose hell of their own free will. God does not force anyone to live eternity with Him if, in life, that person rejected Him. He only respects everyone’s decision.

3. The soul cannot be bought with money

The soul has a price—and it is not monetary. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can rescue it. He has already paid with his own life for the sins of humanity, offering forgiveness and salvation to those who believe in Him.

Work for eternal life, not for what perishes

Many live running after what perishes. But Jesus warned:

“Do not labour for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life.” (John 6:27)

In other words, don’t live only for what dies. Work, yes, but don’t let money or material achievements be your purpose. While the world runs after what ends, God runs after your soul.

How to guarantee the salvation of your soul

So that your soul may live eternally with God, recognise that without Him, you are lost. Give your life to God, repent and live in obedience to the one who paid the ultimate price for you.

Serve God, live for Him and He will guarantee the eternal destination of your soul by His side.
