Saviour yes, Lord no!
To many, Jesus has been like a kind lifeguard on a sunny Sunday at the beach. But after their near-drowning experience, they go right back to their same old ways. This describes many of today’s Christians. They want Him as their servant, but not as their Lord. They use Him like He’s an object of desire, instead of being servants and carrying out His will.
What role has Jesus played in your life, my dear reader? Saviour or Lord?
Unfortunately, He has been cruelly and unjustly dismissed as Lord. Many aren’t willing to renounce their desires, even if that means they’ll have to continue living the same old broken life. They want to be cleansed but aren’t willing to leave the overcrowded pigsty. And yet, they have the audacity to recite His promises, as if that would solve any problems.
Not even their scars have awakened them from the slumber of eternal death!
For that reason, they possess the spirit of the old prophets and of hypocrisy.
Is it possible to continue living in sin and be born of the Holy Spirit? No, it’s not. What’s the difference between them and other religious people?
“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?” Matthew 23:33
My suggestion to those who are true servants is: keep a pure conscious, so that your faith isn’t considered hypocritical and you aren’t considered a brood of vipers.
