An Assortment of Lies
Yesterday, we wrote about the slandering rumors that are circulating the internet regarding candidate DilmaRousseff.
Today, we were surprised to read a calumnious article in the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. The headline read: “Edir Macedo defends Dilma’s viewpoint on abortion”.
The newspaper obviously didn’t read what was written correctly. Or maybe they did read it and perfectly calculated every word in this title.
This is called bad journalism. It’s manipulation. It’s insulting. These actions are common among the embellishments recently published by Grupo Folha about me and the UCKG.
The fact is that I didn’t mention anything about my views on abortion in the article published in this blog. Not one word from the 35 lines that were written was in reference to that. I ask that you take a look at what was published (read here).
All we wrote was that the information about Dilma Roussef saying, “Not even Jesus Christ could take this victory from me” among other things, was false.
My only concern was that someone used the name of the Lord Jesus in this little game and many Christians were falling into their trap.
The Folha’s actions are another manifestation of the low-blows taken in the political game while trying to bring down a candidate on the eve of an election.
If Grupo Folha doesn’t have the courage to admit which candidate they support, they at least have the obligation not to mock the faith of millions of people with lies and assumptions.
Nothing’s more devious than the distortion of the truth.
