WANT TO KNOW GOD? FOLLOW THESE 3 STEPS

Check out what they are.

How to know God? Is it possible for human beings to meet Him? And why do we need to meet him? How to act to be close to God? I will give you 3 steps to be closer to God (even if you are an atheist or a person who puts third parties between you and God).

You will notice that these steps are the same when meeting someone. You can’t meet a person when you’re far away from them. Although technology connects us with anyone anywhere in the world, you must be close to meet someone. So you will be able to talk and observe them, and having a close relationship will lead you to know the person. Participating in activities the person engages in will make you understand them beyond words. Words are important, but so is having a relationship with the person. So, check out the steps:

1) Get close to God
His Word is full of invitations for us to know Him (Matthew 11:28 and Jeremiah 29:13, for example). God is always inviting us to get closer to Him. And how do we do that if we don’t know His address? We approach Him in spirit. When you dedicate your mind, attention, and focus to God, you are already getting close to Him. Do it with a sincere desire. When you want to meet someone, you get closer and try to know who the person’s friends are. The same is with God.

2)Talk to God
Open your heart. What do you say when you get close to someone you want to meet? “Hi”, “good morning”, you start talking to the person. If you get close and don’t talk, you don’t have much more than that. Prayer is not what many people think (something we repeat several times or read a psalm). “Prayer” means “open your heart to God”. It’s you being honest with God. Tell Him what’s inside you. It is not necessary to be careful with your words with Him because He already knows everything you will say. God is not impressed by hypocrisy.

3)Listen to what God says
It is only possible to meet a person by listening to them. You hear what God says through the Bible. What He wants us to know about Him is contained there. When you are interested in God’s story, He talks to you. When you open the Word, you get to know the mind of God and what He thinks. It’s all in the Bible. But it has to be a moment of reading with reasoning.
