The John Challenge
What’s the John Challenge?
It’s to read and meditate on one chapter of the Gospel of John every day. You can begin the John Challenge on any day, but you must follow it for 21 consecutive days, through to the last chapter.
Note that it’s not just about reading but meditating on what you read. To meditate means to reflect on what you’re reading—to ask questions, to immerse yourself in the text and, most importantly, draw lessons for your life.
To help you do this, I’ve shared my daily meditation on each of the 21 chapters of the Gospel of John. However, you shouldn’t be restricted to my meditation. Remember: God’s Word is dynamic and, through the same verse, it can reveal to you something completely different from what it revealed to me. So, I want to encourage you to leave a comment every day, telling us what you’ve learnt from your meditation on the corresponding chapter. By doing that, you’ll certainly bless others.
Do you want to participate?
Here’s how:
- Decide when you’ll start and commit for 21 days.
- Begin reading one chapter a day, starting from John 1:1.
- Meditate on your reading. You need to set aside 10 to 20 minutes a day for this; choose a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.
- Read the message relating to the chapter you’ve read.
- Visit this page if you want to post a comment.
Now, enter your name below to confirm your participation and invite a family member or friend to take the challenge as well.
