STABILITY IN LIFE STARTS HERE
The spirit of man serves as protection, but without proper control, it will be like a house without walls, open to any danger. How is your spirit? Do you have this stability in your life?
“Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls” (Proverbs 25:28). Imagine your house without gates, walls, and a door. You don’t have any security in it.
That is, the spirit of man serves as protection for him. If he has no control over his spirit, it will be the opposite; he will be open and susceptible to everything that will happen to him. It will be like a person without immunity.
The human being seeks stability in life in every way. People believe that all their problems will be solved if they have enough money. It’s not like that. But stability is essential. No one lives in peace if they don’t sleep well at night because the doctor says they have an incurable disease. We need stability. When the person surrenders to emotions, they act crazy. If, mentally and emotionally, you are not stable, the rest is of no use. So, the human being seeks stability. For example, in the family, no one wants to get home without knowing what they will find.
But the problem with human beings is that they seek stability in these areas and forget that spiritual stability sustains them the most. It helps in adversity, bad news, debts, unemployment, disappointment with children, and marriage. If the spirit is not strong, what is the use of having stability in other areas? In fact, you will hardly find a person who does not have their life anchored in God who has the other stable areas in life because the foundation of their life (the spiritual) is in ruins.
Our spirit acts as a protection for everything that is in us. This barrier prevents evil from reaching what is behind the spirit, the other areas of our life. So, if you want stability in all areas, use intelligence and prioritise spiritual stability.
So, how do we gain spiritual stability? For the spirit to be firm it has to rely on something firmer than it. And that’s the Word of God, which doesn’t change. Learn about the Word of God, read it, become aware of what He says. And not only knowledge, add faith, and start living your life in this direction. Then you will realise that your spiritual feet will be on a solid foundation. Practice the Word.
For example, by the Word of God, you will gradually achieve financial stability because you will understand that you have to be an honest, diligent worker and that you have to apply a spirit of excellency to your work. So, if you do this, soon your reputation will follow you because you followed the spiritual principles in your financial life.
With spiritual stability, you will also have emotional stability because you will think twice before snapping on your children. You will not fear bad news because you fear God. You will take care of your body because it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Your spiritual stability teaches you this. When you invest in spiritual stability, the other areas of your life also begin to stabilise.
If you were wondering: “Why is my world in ruins?” Your spiritual life is likely unstable. And that’s where you must start to bring stability to your life.
