Challenge #22

Don’t start before completing Challenge #21.

Challenge: Identify a bad habit and eliminate it.

Explanation: A man is made of habits. More than 90% of what we do every day is out of habit. Almost everything that is happening in your right life now is a result of habits. Your performance in school. Your body and health. Your marriage. How much money you have. The job you have and where you work. Your spiritual life. Your achievements. Your addictions. All this and much more is a result of the various habits you possess.

Develop good habits and your life will be good. Bad habits, on the other hand, will destroy you. This saying sums it up pretty well:

Be careful with your thoughts because they become words;
be careful with your words, because they become actions;
be careful with your actions because they become habits;
be careful with your habits because they become your character;
be careful with your character because it becomes your destiny.

Your challenge this week is to identify at least one bad habit and eliminate it. In order to do this I want you to read two articles:

First reading: Outsmarting your habit
Second reading: Breaking habits: enablers and triggers

Obviously, follow the instructions for each one.

Notebook: The two articles above both include homework. Use your Official Notebook to complete them.

Official Partner: Speak to your partner about this challenge. Talk about the bad habits that each of you identified and what you have decided to do to eliminate them.

Deadline: You may begin working on this task immediately. Complete it before in a week and then begin on Challenge #23.

Post: After – and only after – you have completed the challenge, post your comments – on the IntelliMenWorld Facebook or Twitter page, (not on your own page) and write the following:
