Challenge #4 Do this only after completing Challenge #3
This is IntelliMen 2.0. If you want to join the Project and get the best results, begin with the 53 Challenges.
Challenge: Step out of your comfort zone.
Explanation: Everyone’s in search of a comfort zone. It’s only natural, since people dislike feeling uncomfortable, disrupted or exposed. We feel safe in our comfort zone because everything’s familiar and predictable. We know exactly what our routine is. The problem is, no one grows, no one overcomes enemies, no one makes a difference while in their comfort zone. These things only occur when we step out of its boundaries.
What would you like to do, or know that you need to do, but haven’t done because it calls for you to leave the familiar behind? What would happen if you overcame your fear and did what you always dreamed you had the courage to do? What if you got out of bed earlier, or spoke to a person you’ve always wanted to talk to but “never had the opportunity” — or felt would not care about what you have to say? What if you radically changed your routine, or decided to learn something new and extremely useful? What if you challenged yourself to overcome?
This month I want you to identify a way to step out of your comfort zone and expose yourself, take a risk, or be bold. No small things here. Think big. Be a man.
Notebook: Take some minutes to think about ideas, desires and opportunities to step out of your comfort zone. Make a list. Choose which item (our items) you will act on. After doing this challenge, write about the result and what you learned in your Notebook.
Official Buddy: After doing this challenge, share your experiences and conclusions.
Deadline: This challenge can be started immediately and concluded in 28 days, before challenge #5.
Posting: After — and only after — you have concluded this challenge and spoken to your Buddy, post your comments on the IntelliMen Facebook page (not your personal page) or on Twitter, with this heading:
