I ATE, BUT I'M STILL HUNGRY
The search for satisfaction in material things can even bring momentary pleasure, but only God can fill the soul.
Why can’t so many people get close to God, understand His will or be sure of salvation? The answer may be simpler than it seems: because they put other things in His place.
Among everything that competes for space in the human heart, few things compete as much with God as money. Therefore, in Timothy 6:17, the Bible guides the rich of this world not to be haughty or put their hope in riches, but in the living God.
The problem is not the money
The biblical text does not condemn wealth. In fact, God is the one who grants resources and goods for people to enjoy. The alert is to trust money as a source of security and fulfilment.
After all, the riches are uncertain. They can provide comfort and happy moments, but they cannot guarantee peace, health, love or purpose.
When the search for money becomes a priority
Many people believe that all their problems will be solved when they reach a certain financial condition. Therefore, they devote all their energy to work, business and the search for more resources.
However, even when they achieve their goals, they often show other problems: inner emptiness, addictions, fragile relationships and lack of satisfaction.
This happens because money can meet material needs, but it does not fill the soul.
God must be the first
According to the message, many people transform God into a means to achieve their goals. They seek faith to get something, but they don’t make God the centre of their own life.
However, when God takes the first place, everything finds balance. It ceases to be just a path to achievements and becomes the greatest treasure of the person.
Therefore, if there is emptiness, confusion or dissatisfaction within you, it is worth reflecting: who or what has occupied God’s place in your life?
When He becomes true wealth, the soul finds the satisfaction that no material achievement can offer.
