GOD CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS
Message for those who think they are the guy or the woman ( Warning given!)
“He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them.” (Job 5:13)
Have you ever wondered why so many cunning people who deceive and lie to others seem to go unscathed? They always come out in profit. Where is God’s justice in all this?
Maybe you’ve been deceived by someone like that or have seen an innocent person being harmed and felt anger and indignation. Why does God allow this?
The wisdom of the world is foolishness for God:
The answer is in this verse, which Paul also cited:
“Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness.” (1 Corinthians 3:18-19)
Craftiness is this arrogant cleverness. The cunning believes that they will always take advantage. It’s like the betting player who thinks they’re smarter than everyone else, although everyone knows that the bookmaker never loses. At first, they even let the person earn a little so the fool thinks they’re wise. So, they bet more and more – and then lose everything. In other words, they were hooked by their own craftiness.
The origin of craftiness:
Craftiness has a father—and it’s not God. Therefore, if someone thinks they are cunning, they seek this power from Satan, the father of craftiness, the serpent of Genesis 3.
The devil is like the owner of the bookmaker: he promises you will win and convinces you to bet your soul. It was like that with Eve: “You can eat; nothing bad will happen.” She fell and lost everything. Many people today criticise Adam and Eve for having eaten the fruit of the tree but do not realise that the tree in the middle of the garden represents our daily choices.
The daily choices:
Every day, you choose:
• Obey God
• Or follow the “cunning path”.
Those who obey are considered fools in this world. But, as Paul said: “If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool”.
If this snake of craftiness bit you – thinking you can deceive the boss, the government, the customers, the algorithm, the wife, the husband, the pastor or even God – know: this poison is running through your veins.
But listen: God catches the wise in their own craftiness.
The devil will not catch you – he already has you. But it’s God who will catch you. And if you don’t repent, He will take you by surprise, precisely in what you think you are good at. And when that happens, don’t say you haven’t been warned.
Repent while there is time:
Do you want to avoid the fall? Abandon the craftiness. Become a fool for this world and wise for God. Leave the mischief. Repent before God and who you deceived. Are you deceiving someone? Go to this person and confess. Clean your heart.
Do what it takes, but repent while there is still time. If the devil catches you, God can still save you. But if God catches you, no one can set you free.
