4 WRONG WAYS TO BELIEVE IN JESUS (AND ONE RIGHT)

Have you ever stopped to think about how you believe in Jesus? There are four wrong ways and one right, which one is yours?

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

This passage makes me think about the various ways people believe in Jesus today. According to the Word of God, there is only one way to believe, but the world creates several ways; the devil makes people think that it is enough to believe in Him, but it is not so. If you don’t believe as the Scriptures say, it’s no use. Be careful because maybe you believe in Jesus in a way that will not lead you to Salvation.

There are 4 ways to believe in Jesus:

• Some people believe in Jesus in a historical way: they recognise that He existed, was a good man, taught good things, and performed miracles. But He was just a historical character and has nothing to do with you today.
• There is the religious way of believing, influenced by a plaster image, a painting, or a religion. I was one of those people; I believed in a pale Jesus with blue eyes, an image fixed at the top of the wall, that brought us religious sensations. It was irrelevant; it made no difference in my life.
• There is also the way the devil wants you to believe: to believe and do nothing about it. Don’t worry about what He says, and live life the way you want (which is usually contrary to everything He taught). It is written that demons also believe in God (James 2:19), and they remain as demons. Many people believe this way, even going to church.
• Some believe in Jesus from afar. The person goes to church and seeks to follow the principles of a good Christian, but deep down, they do not want Him to interfere much in their lives. In other words, they do not want to open the door of their lives to Him because they know that if He does that, He will say things they will not like and demand changes in behaviour that they do not want to change.

When the person understands that He will impact them significantly when He enters, they prefer to keep Him on the other side of the door, and when they need something, they talk to Him through the keyhole.

The only correct way to believe in Him is to open the door and say: from now on, it is no longer my home; it is Yours. Do what the Lord wants; the Lord is the first, and I am ready to do whatever the Lord commands. This is the only and true way to believe in Jesus, which will lead you to Salvation. The rest is deception. Wake up!

The question that remains is: how do you believe in Jesus? Will this way take you where you intend to go?
