Many people wonder why certain situations happen in their lives. However, perhaps the most important question is: what is God trying to show through them?

Just as a father wants to be heard by his children, God also seeks to speak to the human being. And He does it in different ways.

Through the creation

One of the ways in which God speaks is through His creation. Psalm 19 states that the heavens announce the glory of God and that all nature reveals the work of His hands.

Therefore, it is not difficult to understand why so many people feel peace when contemplating a landscape, the sea, the mountains or even the small blessings of everyday life. Creation points to the care and greatness of the Creator.

Through Your Word

In addition, God speaks through the Scriptures.

The Bible should not be just an open book on special occasions. It contains guidelines, teachings and corrections for life. Therefore, cultivating the habit of daily reading the Word is a way to listen to God’s voice and receive direction for everyday decisions.

Through the Holy Spirit

God also speaks through the Holy Spirit, who guides those who receive Him.

Without this direction, many people live aimlessly, influenced by circumstances or others’ opinions. Those who seek the presence of the Holy Spirit find discernment and clarity to follow the right path.

When pain speaks louder

Finally, there are times when God uses pain to get a person’s attention.

Not because He desires suffering, but because, often, people ignore His voice and end up reaping the consequences of their own choices. In these situations, pain can serve as a warning for a change of direction.

Faced with a difficulty, therefore, it is worth asking not only “why?”, but also “what does God want to teach me with this?”

Those who learn to listen to God’s voice, whether through creation, His Word, the Holy Spirit or even in difficult times, find direction to get out of suffering and live under His protection and blessing.
