The Lord Jesus or Barabbas?
The governor answered and said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!” Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!” Matthew 27.21-22
This decision the people made in the past continues being made today, all the time, by each one of us. Decisions will always give freedom to one and imprison the other. The question is which one.
The Lord Jesus is truth and justice.
Barabbas represents theft, deception and lies.
When my decision is in accordance with the will of God, I give freedom to the Lord Jesus to act in my life and, at the same time, I keep the devil imprisoned, tied up.
When we make a decision that is contrary to the will of God, immediately, the devil is given freedom to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, in the life of the person that gave him freedom through their decision. At the same time, the Lord Jesus is impeded from acting in their life, even if He wants to.
My decision determines who will be given freedom in my life.
In your life, it is your decision.
