Take good care of the briefcase
He noticed that God was approaching and that He was holding a briefcase.
God said:
– Well, my son, it’s time to go.
Surprised, the man asked:
– Already? So fast? I had so many plans…
– I’m sorry! But it is time for you to leave.
– What’s in the briefcase? – Asked the man.
God replied:
– Your belongings.
– My belongings?! My things, my clothes, my money?
God replied:
– Those were never yours, they belonged to the earth.
– So, it’s my memories?
– They were never yours, they belonged to time.
– My talents?
– Those didn’t belong to you, they belonged to the circumstances.
– So, it’s my friends, my relatives?
– Sorry! They never belonged to you, they belonged to your journey.
– My wife and kids?
– They never belonged to you, they belonged to your heart.
– Is it my body?
– It was never yours, it belongs to the dust.
– So, it’s my soul…
– No! That is mine.
Then, the man overtaken with fear, grabbed the briefcase from God. When he opened it, he saw that it was empty…
With tears of helplessness welling up in his eyes, said:
– I never had anything?
– That’s how it is. Life is just a moment. YOU DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING!
Like it is written: “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” James 4:14
God bless you!
