WHEN A PERSON DOESN'T HELP THEMSELVES
Change begins when you recognise your own participation in the problems you face
Many people want to change their lives, but few stop to analyse how much they have contributed to the problems they face.
While meditating on the book of Joel, we realise that God called the people to repentance. That is, He asked for a change of thinking and behaviour. After all, when the mind changes, attitudes change. And when attitudes change, life also changes.
Don’t make it easy for the devourer
In the Bible, the devourer represents what consumes the fruit of a person’s work. In Joel’s days, it manifested itself through plagues and losses in crops. Today, however, it may appear in other ways.
It often arises through impulsive choices, unnecessary debts and lack of financial control. There are those who work a lot, but end up harming themselves by spending without planning or seeking to satisfy immediate desires.
Therefore, before blaming the circumstances, it is important to ask: in what area am I facilitating the devourer’s action?
Turn to God
In Malachi, God instructed the people to turn to Him. Only after that, He promised to rebuke the devourer.
The principle remains the same: first, the person needs to correct their paths. Then God acts in your favour.
Therefore, instead of cooperating with what destroys your life, cooperate with God. Recognise your mistakes, change your actions and allow Him to bless the work of your hands.
Watch the video and find out that to get out of your “never before”, you need to stop helping the devourer and decide to cooperate with God.
